Can I delete my account and data from the app?

Yes. You can permanently delete your Welle account and associated health data at any time. 


Before you begin

If you have an active subscription, it must be canceled before you delete your account. You will continue to be charged if your subscription remains active when deletion is requested.


How to delete your account

  1. Open the Welle app and go to My Profile > Account Info > Delete Account.
  2. Confirm your request when prompted.

What happens next

  • You'll be signed out of all devices immediately.
  • Your account will become inaccessible and your health data will be removed from the app.
  • Welle's HIPAA-authorized privacy team will review and process your deletion request within 7 business days.

Data deletion and HIPAA compliance

Once your request is approved, your personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) will be permanently deleted or anonymized in accordance with HIPAA guidelines (45 CFR §164.514). Any backups or logs containing PHI will be securely purged or de-identified per our internal data retention policies.

A record of your deletion request — containing no PHI — may be retained for audit and legal compliance purposes.


A few important things to know

  • This action is irreversible. Deleted or anonymized data cannot be restored.
  • Need a copy of your data first? Contact the Welle Care Team before submitting your deletion request.
  • Welle does not sell or share your personal health data with third parties without your explicit consent.
