We recommend waiting before scheduling your lab test, as blood donation can temporarily affect certain biomarkers.
- Whole blood donation: Iron and hemoglobin levels typically take 6–12 weeks to return to normal.
- Platelet donation: You can generally proceed with your lab test after 7 days.
Keep in mind that scheduling your test too soon after a whole blood donation may mean your red blood cell counts don't accurately reflect your baseline health status.
If you're unsure about the best time to schedule, please reach out to your Welle Care Team and we'll be happy to help.
