A health pillar is a core area of health focus — like heart, brain, or gut — that contributes to your overall well-being. At Welle, your health is organized across pillars so you can see how different systems in your body are performing and where there's room to improve.
We track 12 health pillars:
- Heart: Efficient circulation and long-lasting cardiovascular vitality.
- Brain: Cognitive health, focus, and emotional balance.
- Hormone: Hormonal harmony that supports mood, energy, and vitality.
- Immune: Protection against illness and disease resistance.
- Metabolic: Nutrition balance, energy use, and overall metabolic function.
- Gut: Digestion, microbiome health, and nutrient absorption.
- Liver: Detoxification and metabolic processing.
- Kidney: Filtration, fluid balance, and waste removal.
- Sleep: Restorative rest for physical recovery and mental clarity.
- Nutrient: Vitamin and mineral status that supports every system in your body.
- Oral: Oral health as a window into systemic inflammation and overall health.
- Oncology: Screening markers associated with cancer risk.
Each pillar is calculated using specific biomarkers that reflect the condition of that system. For example, Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) contributes to both your Heart and Metabolic pillar scores — it measures how much cholesterol-carrying protein is circulating in your blood, which is a strong indicator of plaque buildup risk and metabolic health. Your pillar score reflects how your biomarkers for that area collectively compare to optimal ranges.
